What we offer
upstruct is an internationally operating Design Studio with clients in a variety of sectors such as the cultural, publishing and economic sectors. With absolute commitment and paying the utmost attention to detail, we give particular importance to the high quality of our work. upstruct has been active for six years now, and experience has shown us that good design can move mountains.
Graphic Design
This is the heart of our company. Our core discipline is the mother of formal design.
Corporate + Brand Design
Another strong point. Of course, not only for companies but for all kind of “brands”, well-grounded and thought through. The project takes a unique character and identity – far beyond the logo.
Editorial + Book Design
We have many years of experience in the collaboration with various publishing houses and authors – whether development and magazine design, non-fiction books or pure cover design for novels.
Web + Interface Design and Development
We create everything from tiny icons to big multiuser community web pages, software or iPhone Apps for our clients. We will write smaller webpages with html/css and jQuery on Wordpress. if you need bigger solutions we have a competent network of programmers behind us. Everything is possible.
Motion Design
From Imagefilm with animated infographics to the Main Title for Feature Films, graphic design takes here it’s fourth dimension: time.
Illustration
Sometimes we also like it playful and artistic. When a project requires it, we like to use real pencils or brushes. However, our strong point resides in the implementation of vector-based illustrations.
Typography
We love typefaces! We can design custom headline fonts and know how to handle every kind of typefaces to the detail.
The Studio
The Studio is located in an old offset print plant in Berlin Kreuzberg, therefore in the center of the “creative capital”. Here we have the space that new ideas need. We share this spacious office with our friends from zischlermann filmproduction. You can reach us with U-Bahn (U1 Prinzenstraße or U1 & U6 Hallesches Tor), Bus (M1 & 248 Zossener Brücke or 140 U-Prinzenstraße), bike or car and we are always happy to receive visitors!

The upstructers
upstruct was founded by Toni Harzer and Åsmund Vonheim Seip in summer 2005 in Berlin. After the first year together, Åsmund moved back to his homeland, Norway, and opend a second studio in Oslo. upstruct berlin oslo was born. Over the years both studios grew together, employing up to 6 workers, the clients became numerous and the projects bigger. Sadly, due to strategic realignment, the Oslo studio had to be closed. Consequently the focus is now back in Berlin, where it all began – not without the norwegian network, which is still there for us. Heia Oslo og Trondheim! Lars Trautmann has been a part of the Berlin studio since 2008. He started as an intern and is now a partner.
